Growing a mind is a sensitive thing.

There’s so much anger in you
and I’m fearful
you’ll never know a true smile
or laugh a true laugh
with all the aggression
all the frustrations that appear
and I try to hold mine in
because cruel words
create cruel beings
and I try so hard
as the screaming starts
and the yelling approaches
but I myself have never learned
how to fully cope
with all the feelings
of this human mind
and I slip
within the aggression
yelling back
with words I wish
I held in
because growing a mind
is a sensitive thing.
