Their thoughts endless.

A green, greyish creature
covered by scales
all the way down to their tail
that once could have been legs.
If they had evolved upon land
rather than diving deeper
down the depths
of the coldest of places
and deeper they went
loosing fur
facial features changing
teeth pointed
eye lids no longer needed
gills to breath
and a tail
to swim.
Echolocation
because words are worthless
mumbled beneath the waves
their thoughts endless
and their appetites
at war with the land dwellers
catching their fish in nets
their meals smaller
as they rise to the surface
pulling those that take
from the boats
and drowning them.
