Laughter is your only connect.

Words of others
don’t dictate your choices
nor do their words
accumulate a perfect person.
Their thoughts are rarely indulged by you
and when they are
they’re rated on a scale of laughter
because besides a smirk
you are not changed
nor do you budge
and what they do
and what they like
and what they think
and what they feel
belongs to them.
Never does it penetrate
the person you are
because you only care about us
and laughter is your only connect
when you feel up to engage
outside of us.
When another disapproves
it’ll never change your mood
for you’re not one to just love
and move on
you’re a true committed type.
