This person has a body
and their body has a brain
and their brain is in charge
their brain retains memories
and erases what it deems pointless.

This person has a heart
and their heart listens
pumps when the brain informs it
pumps always as expected
and it waits permission
to pump faster.

This person has lungs
and their lungs exhale
letting out air and takes it in
their lungs listen to their brain
and breathes all day
quicker when needed
and less when asked of them.

This person has a stomach
and the stomach churns the food
and when the food is bulky
it churns faster
breaking it
and when the brain says it is time
it releases the blender valve
and the waste moves on.

This body has a digestive track
that digests the food further
eventually the food evacuates.

Now this person has heard
of a thing called a soul
it wonders what is a soul?
what is its function?
does anyone know?
does it exist?
if it does is it simply energy
possessed by life itself?
