As the trees look down.

The middle evaluates a crime
as another’s head pops in anger towards the arrogant swine
that walks in their narrowminded direction
never accepting a proposition.

As the trees look down
dressed in a frown
wrapped in a notion
that with every human commotion
comes their very own destruction
they cannot hold their own to a chainsaws function
cutting sawing
and then the tree comes falling.

Because even the purest human
wouldn’t sacrifice their own limb
and trickle back decades of materialism
driven by imperialism
and admit humans don’t own this land
and never have the trees and other animals been given a choice in what we’ve planned.
