Ripping off the layers.

They removed the skin from each body
ripping off the layers
and reapplying with colorful quilts
to close in the organs and keep them safe.

Tossing all types of genitalia
into boxes
for they were wasted bits
and no longer useful
reproduction could be done in a lab
those tools are nothing but messy
sloppy bits now
rendered useless by science.

As several gathered about
going through boxes
laughing “eww”
holding a floppy useless tool
in their hand
hilarious
useless
no worst than a gaping hole
waiting to be filled
of tadpoles
only then for a parasite
to grow and feed
and slip out.

To live in such medieval times
“‘gross” they chuckled
“now we just live.”

Procreation left to the experts
and only those with the right IQs
are given the responsibility
of instilling knowledge
in the little tube babies
rendering the rest available
to pursue other interests.
