In the mirror they met.

In the mirror they met
each morning as they began to prep
in the evening as they reapplied their face
in between life’s high paced race
at night as they brushed to fight the decay
and every time they awoke neither could stray
for the others face is what they could see
until they both begged to be set free
and as one stood in the mirror
the reflection had gotten weirder
blurred as a ghostly apparition
now only the pain is heard
and forever trapped in a mirror
is their fear without a cure
because being alone
is now their forever home.

Thanks for reading.
