Approval

I do not need your approval
nor do you need mine
it’s me I seek
and it’s me
that judges the most
me that holds me back
me that worries what you think
me that gets angered
when you share a different perspective
because I don’t want it to become mine
and it isn’t
nor does it have to
nor do you need to change
because we are ourselves.
